Synopsis
Steven Universe is set in Beach City on the American East Coast, where the four Crystal Gems live in an ancient beachside temple, protecting the world from evil. As immortal alien warriors, they project female humanoid forms from magical gems that are the core of their being. The Crystal Gems are Garnet, Amethyst, Pearl and Steven, a young half-human, half-Gem boy who inherited the gem of his mother Rose Quartz, the former leader of the Crystal Gems. As Steven tries to figure out his powers, he spends his days with his human father Greg, his friend Connie or the other Gems, whether to help them save the world or just to hang out. He explores the abilities passed down to him by his mother, which include fusion - the ability of two Gems to temporarily merge their identities and bodies to form a distinct new personality.

Love this movie! Special features!
I absolutely love this movie. Throughout my second viewing, I laughed so much harder and had to stifle some tears. The soundtrack is beautiful, both the lyrical songs and the background instrumentals alike. Excellent movie for all ages—the messages are important life lessons about emotions, friendship, growth, truth, independence, and the different kinds of challenging situations we may encounter in our lives. Spinel is a complex villain that you just WANT to know, and she is spectacularly designed. The listing here didn’t mention the exclusive documentary at the time I purchased the DVD, but it is included! I preordered on the last day preorders were accepted, and it came in the mail just a couple of days later! Also, I love the raised and glossy design on the DVD sleeve.

A good movie Keeps characters in character Gives recaps to everyone who didn’t watch the show Amazing songs Amazing visuals Great moral OVERALL STATEMENT I’d only recommend it to a Steven Universe fan or someone who wants to get into Steven Universe
